Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Hai Ninh

Senior lecturer at Foreign Trade University, researcher and advisor in strategic management, marketing, customer experience, digital transformation, innovation and applied AI.

Teaching, research and management advisory.

More than two decades working between business practice and higher education have shaped the way I approach management problems. A concept must be clear enough to explain reality, while a recommendation must be practical enough to work within the constraints of an organization.

In teaching and research, I focus on concepts, methods and evidence. Learners need to understand not only what a model says, but also its assumptions, boundaries and conditions of application.

In advisory and executive training, I start from context, causes and expected outcomes. Strategy, customers, people and technology are considered as one system so that each recommendation can be translated into choices, plans and evaluation criteria.

Professional philosophy

Knowledge gives direction,
experience guides action.

Knowledge helps define the real nature of a problem, formulate grounded questions and avoid decisions based only on intuition. Experience tests knowledge in real contexts where resources, people and time are always limited.

For that reason, teaching, research and advisory work should not stop at explaining models. The goal is to help learners and organizations turn theory into appropriate choices, feasible actions and assessable outcomes.

Open note

Experience from the classroom and business practice.

My work has allowed me to observe management problems from several positions: as a business practitioner, lecturer, researcher and advisor. In business, a decision must face time pressure, limited resources and measurable outcomes. In the classroom, each concept needs to be explained clearly enough for learners to understand its logic and limitations. In research, every conclusion must be built on a meaningful question, a rigorous method and evidence that can be examined.

That is why my teaching does not aim to provide ready-made answers. It aims to help learners ask better questions, analyze data, recognize assumptions and justify their decisions. A management model becomes useful only when it can be placed in a specific context and turned into a responsible choice.

When working with organizations, I do not begin with a packaged solution. Each organization has its own goals, people, processes and constraints. The work should begin by clarifying the problem, identifying causes and agreeing on desired outcomes before choosing the method and implementation path.
